Starting a Business is Not for the Weak…

Starting a business is much like learning to spell; it requires patience, knowledge, and connections. I began with an idea, then coordinated my efforts, culminating in the presentation of my work to the world. My unique approach sets my services apart, and I aim to showcase this through my photography.

I have recently rebranded my Photography Business, aiming to make it as professionally oriented and established as possible to attract more potential clients and demonstrate that this is a legitimate business. Before, it was more of a part-time job to have fun with and capture moments for friends and family. The reason why I want to expand my horizons is to bring hope, trust, and prosperity to other individuals and businesses. All I see for another person is that I hope they succeed in everything they do, whether that is obtaining an entry-level job and growing from there, participating in jobs that include their favorite hobbies, or the chance to achieve their dream job. Within that factor, I hope they spend their time with friends and family and take time to help their community. Yes, work is important, but so is living life.

When starting your own business, it’s like learning how to spell words. It takes time to start and build up your knowledge and connections to be successful. First, you have the idea of what you want to build. Second, you have the action of coordinating the work. This leads to the third step, when presenting your projects you’ve worked very hard on to present to the world and to show everyone that you can provide services that are uniquely different from others in your expertise you’re in. The real reason why they should hire you over others.

When I was in third grade, I was rewarded with the word “Preserver”. The reason was that I struggled with spelling and grammar when I was younger. I took tutoring classes on the side of school to improve in those aspects. In middle school and the beginning of high school, I was shy. Instead of embracing that negative trait of mine, I was always open to learning how I could be different because I do not want to be that way. So I put myself out there by participating in musicals/plays, wanting to be a part of organizations that would help me grow knowledgeably and give me the confidence to be a leader. High school ended, and I was amazed at how much I had grown as a person. I ended with a great GPA, had many different accomplishments with organizations, had the chance to be a part of the leadership class for the last two years of high school, as well as having the chance to lead a group within the National Honor Society that is known all over the United States. The confidence from high school changed me in college, where I was a part of the Centennial Leadership Program/Scholarship. I challenged myself to want to be a part of the change of the college by participating in the Student Government Association and representing the Activities Council. It made me so proud to have overcome my fear in the beginning of my lifetime to become a strong, independent woman, making a difference in the world.

I will continue to pursue this Photography Business as it means a lot to me to capture the individual souls of everyone and remind people that there are so many reasons to be living.

Everyone has a story to tell. Everyone starts somewhere; it just matters if they can get over the fear that may stop themfrom succeeding.

I will not let fear take over and keep hope.

Signing off,
